Somatic therapy for individuals and couples in Oregon, California, and New York

Approach
I offer a personalized and compassionate approach to therapy, grounded in years of clinical experience and extensive training in somatic practices, mindfulness techniques, and psychodynamic theory. I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma and eating disorders, while also supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, grief, parenting challenges, low self-esteem, addiction, relationship conflict, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, deepen self-awareness, and develop the resilience and practical tools needed for meaningful, lasting change.

I work extensively with couples, drawing on evidence-based methods from the Gottman Institute and Relational Life Therapy through the Relational Life Institute. Together, we identify negative patterns, strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and cultivate accountability, mutual respect, and deeper connection. Our work also includes examining the broader systems that shape our relationships — including cultural expectations, gender roles, and systems of oppression — and how these forces influence conflict, power dynamics, and emotional safety.

At the heart of my work is the belief that our relationships — with our partners, our bodies, and ourselves — shape how we feel and move through the world. By integrating somatic awareness with insight-oriented exploration, I support individuals and couples in building clarity, resilience, and personal  growth.

ABOUT ME
Having lived many different lives before becoming a therapist, I bring a depth of experience and perspective to each session. My identity as a woman, artist, feminist, and ally informs how I connect with clients and hold space for their growth. I deeply believe in the therapeutic process—both from my own experience receiving therapy and from witnessing the lasting change in the clients I work with.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University. I hold a post-graduate certificate in Eating Disorders from the Women's Therapy Institute, and I am a certified Level 2 somatic practitioner with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute (see the Resources page for more on Sensorimotor Psychotherapy). I currently see both individuals and couples in my private practice, integrating my training and life experience to support each client’s unique journey toward healing and growth.

I live and work in Portland, Oregon, where I share my life with my partner, our child, and two cats.
